Sony: We intentionally slow GOWIII’s framerate down (God of War III)

PSUni: In an excellent and in-depth interview given by Mark DeSanto at I. Eat. Games, Sony Santa Monica's senior producer Steve Caterson has revealed that the team deliberately slows God of War III's framerate down from 60 frames-per-second for cinematic effect. Though this concept sounds a little odd at first, the team has built the game's technology around making such changes in framerate as smooth as possible. Make sure you read the context of this quotaiton before jumping on Caterson's back.

Fake Alert: Killzone 2 Vs Halo:Reach Polygon Article (Killzone 2)

TMC: Split-Screen jumped the gun earlier saying Killzone 2 had 72% more head polygon count than Halo:Reach. Surprising information indeed even if it's unfair to compare a complete game to another game still in development. Even more striking is the fact that they tried to compare a random NPC soldier model that it's barely seen in Halo:Reach to a main character from Killzone 2. We can't confirm or deny this information but we can at least tell you that neither can the guys at Split-Screen.com, Why? because we found out that the NPC Reach models they used for their "Article" have absolutely nothing to do with Halo:Reach.

Infinity Ward Has Not Received Royalties for Modern Warfare 2 (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)

Activision's sudden dismissal of Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Frank Zampella and locking out IW employees from their own offices has raised a lot of questions. As new information becomes clear, some of these questions are being answered.

According to anonymous statements given to Binge Gamer's James Walker, Activision has yet to pay Infinity Ward so much as a dime in royalties for 'Modern Warfare 2', which has earned Activision over one billion dollars in revenue. Additionally, a separate source has suggested that Activision's reasoning for firing West and Zampella for "breaches of contract" may be tied to what Infinity Ward was intending to do after their contract with Activision expires in October, 2010.
